Vision

Through ‘The Mountain & The Moon’ you will find intuitive and medicinal care in all things related to birth, womb and reproductive sovereignty.

This work is slow and tender, with a focus on unwinding stories to restore an equilibrium between body and mind. Making way for the remembrance of each woman’s unique and innate medicine. In honor of the many moons that come new and full within.

This support is for women to be witnessed, nourished and celebrated in their lives. Who are tending families, communities. dreams, careers, passions, personal growth, and spirituality. This work is informed by the divine, earth reverence, and magic. Holding intention towards healing at the root and being in harmony with nature.

This work centers the belief that birth and everything in between are held as sovereign, communal and ancient traditions. That the village model offers true connection in healing the stories we carry through generations. Ayurveda moves through here as “the art of living” primarily in food and bodywork.

Women need to be seen, to feel heard, to be held, to feel safe, to belong, to heal. To feel truly home in their bodies.

In service to the rhythms of nature alive in all of us.

Being

I’m Carriese, of Creole and West African roots. I am a Mother creative, birth and body practitioner, women’s health advocate, program manager, and event facilitator. I am mentored through a mother centric orientation to life as a spiritual practice and centering feeling home in this body. I am passionate about ecosystem reciprocity and ancestral living through skill building and land stewardship. I am a web weaver, ritualist, and medicine maker. A believer in the unseeable and beloved student devoted to expanding upon wellbeing education and spiritual development.

Tending the birthing journey has been my life’s calling, beginning over a decade ago when I accompanied my first birth. The blood that marked my hands gave remembrance to the wisdom in these bones and the lifetimes of medicine and midwifery.

This journey has taught me how to pray, move with the current, be in trust and vulnerability, how to name the body as sacred and how to come home in being seen. I have offered my hands to catch babies, to touch blood to soft tummies, to hold tears from celebration, and guide grief from loss. I am attuned towards the magic that lives in the listening, to universal cycles and natural law, and to the power of many wise women guided by the voice of the womb.

I walk a path of many humbling rebirths, trusting the infusion of human blended with magic. I am endlessly exploring how to tend to my earth body, strengthen my spirit, reclaim, revere, embrace, intuit and weave sovereign spaces within and without.

I am open as a beautiful student gifted this spectacular, full-spectrum experience of life.

Blessings!
